Skatepark Engen, Germany

For the City of Engen, Germany we designed this concrete skate park with basketball court. The 600 m² skatepark Engen was built right next to the new multi-purpose town hall and consists of two areas/ levels.

The Kidney Bowl on the upper level offers classical pool driving with steel coping including hip. The bottom level – a street area – offers banks, stairs with a rail, curbs and specially designed, wave-like corners. The two levels are connected by a staircase with rail and two Ledges. Also seating steps capture the terrain. The tiers of seats are aligned on the basketball court and serve as spectator’s grandstand and to relax for the athletes in breaks.
