On 17.05.22 the inaugural meeting of the working group was held in Bonn at FLL to revise the recommendation for the design, construction and maintenance of bike and skate facilities: Ralf Maier was elected by the members as head of the working group. Already in 2013, Ralf Maier was the head of the AK for the initial preparation of the regulations.
The second section of the skatepark Bonn, planned by us and built by Rampture, will now be officially opened on 28.05.2022! Following the opening ceremony by the city of Bonn and the operating association SuBCulture Bonn e.V., there will be a contest in both new bowls. Construction of the new park in Halle-Westfahlen began on May 2nd. In addition to a skatepark made of in-situ concrete, a wooden miniramp, a pumptrack and kidstrack as well as a parkour and calisthenics facility are being built here. We mainly design sports and leisure facilities such as skate, BMX and MTB facilities as well as parkour and calisthenics facilities. Furthermore we plan and realize extraordinary social projects all over the world for example in Afghanistan, Palestine, Namibia, Uganda and many more.
On Whitsun Saturday, construction of the new skatepark will begin in Flensburg, next to the Bikepark Schlachthof. At the same time the “Butcher Jam” will take place at the Bikepark.
The construction work of the new skatepark in Meerbusch is slowly coming to an end. The concrete work is finished, the dirt track is in place and bike stands as well as benches and trash cans have been installed. During the site visit, the kidstrack has already been asphalted. We are very much looking forward to the opening of the new facility.

The old BMX track on Dieselstraße in Ratingen-West is to be developed into a pumptrack. On April 12th, the new skatepark in the district park Hassel was now officially opened. We have become familiar with the planning for the new skatepark in Bad Neuenahr-Ahrweiler. For this purpose, there will be a participation workshop on 4th May at 5 pm, where local users are invited to contribute their ideas and wishes. The new skate and bike park in the Dortmund district of Hombruch, is expected to officially open in early summer 2022.
The latest issue 04/22 of the magazine “Deutsches Architektenblatt” deals among other things with the sportive use of open spaces, which has become much more important in the Corona crisis. More information about the article can be found here.
The new skatepark, with dirt pump track and kid track, in Meerbusch is close to completion. Only a few concrete surfaces and the asphalting of the Kidstrack are still missing.
Last week the construction work of the skatepark extension started in Kreutztal. Here arises the (possibly) longest ledge in all of Germany?!

On March 18 and 19, the second user participation, for the planning of the new skate and bike park in the Aktivpark Marzhan-Hellersdorf in Berlin took place. Participants again had the opportunity to contribute their ideas and wishes for the planning of the new facility. These suggestions will be taken into account in the design planning and integrated as far as possible.
The construction of the new skatepark and pumptrack in Meerbusch is in full swing. Beside further obstacles the flat of the bowl was concreted this week. Also earth-modeled pumptrack is now taking shape in full swing.

On March 5th the new Dhunga skate-aid skatepark in Butwal will be officially opened. For this celebration Ralf Maier, together with the skate-aid team Tobi, Maik and Titus Dittmann will be visiting Butwal. The skatepark was realized in cooperation by the skate-aid foundation and the non-profit organization Yuwa for Change.
In Meerbusch the new skatepark and pumptrack takes its first contours. The coping of the Kidneybowl and other “obstacles” have already been set.
In Gelsenkirchen Hassel the construction of the skatepark is progressing again after a “bad weather break”. The concrete work can be completed presumably in the coming weeks.
The new skatepark in Dortmund will soon be ready. Recently, the road construction work could be completed. Likewise, the first blades of grass sprout from the ground, which provide a comfortable lying surface in the summer. In the coming weeks, lighting systems will be installed.
We submitted a holistic concept with design plans for the competition to build a new exercise park with skate park in Eckernförde. The concept resumes the original use as an allotment garden colony and offers besides the use as a skate park a natural recreation area for all citizens. In Meerbusch the construction for the new skate and bike facility started on January 26th. It is planned a skatepark with streetelements and a small bowl, as well as a dirttrack and a kidspumptrack.
