Skatepark Weiden in the Oberfpalz
Through the urban youth center of the city of Weiden, the desire was expressed to renew the existing skate park. There are 1200m² available for the facility and now a contemporary facility is to be built here. In preparation for the planning contract, the city of Weiden asked the skaters to contribute their ideas. These were then integrated into our concept and presented to the users.
The new skate park in Weiden was ceremoniously opened and released by the mayor Jens Meyer on November 9. On 700m² riding area and about 500m² green and development areas, skaters as well as BMXers come to their full. Some “obstacles” are visually highlighted with colored concrete and offer a successful harmony between concrete and planting, especially in the current autumn.
