Construction of the Skatepark Damascus is finished!
In cooperation with skate-aid and SOS Children’s Villages, the park was built on an existing area next to a school. In addition to a mini ramp and street elements made of in-situ concrete, a playground with toilets will be built in the coming weeks. It has already begun to replant the area additionally. The park was built by the same crew that built the skatepark Windhoek in Namibia last year (Arne, Peter, Gabu) and other skateparkbuilders of skate-aid. Our colleague David Welter was also there in person to help the team on the construction site.
The skatepark is already used by many schoolchildren on a daily basis. The children of the SOS Children’s Village, which is located several kilometers away, are driven to the park regularly to have skate lessons.
